Services

Shearing services, end to end

Shearing and crutching — supplied to suit how you run your operation.

Shearing

Shearing for ewes, wethers, lambs and rams on a six, nine or twelve month cycle — whatever the grower wants. Our shearers work to a standard, not a tally. We understand how much a quality job matters, especially on sale lambs, where a clean, even job is what buyers are looking at in the ring. We would rather supply the full crew and cover the whole shed with one booking, but we are flexible and can fit in around what you already have in place.

  • Ewe, wether, lamb and ram shearing
  • Six, nine or twelve month shearing
  • Sale lambs shorn clean and even for presentation
  • Daily tallies recorded digitally and sent to you

Crutching & associated work

A very important part of sheep husbandry — prevention is always better than the cure. Timed around lambing, joining and fly strike mitigation. Our crutching is efficient and effective, ensuring sheep are back out in the paddock, clean and happy, ASAP.

  • Crutching of all types of sheep — crossbred, merino and everything in between
  • Market bung for sale or feedlot lambs
  • Belly crutch

Insurance & compliance

We carry our own cover and manage our own people, so you are not taking on the risk of an uninsured crew on your property.

  • NSW workers compensation in place
  • Public liability cover
  • WHS induction and safe work procedures
  • Current member of the SCAA (Shearing Contractors’ Association of Australia)

Animal welfare

Your sheep are handled properly from the pen to the count-out. Our crew has completed the Wool Harvesting Industry Animal Welfare Course, so proper handling is part of how we work — not something we sort out after the fact.

  • Wool Harvesting Industry Animal Welfare Course completed
  • Calm, low-stress handling through the pens and on the board
  • Cuts treated on the spot and reported to you
  • Pregnant and freshly lambed ewes handled accordingly
  • Welfare expectations covered in every crew induction
